🐾 Grooming Information

At Dapper Dogs Grooming, Helen aims to provide a calm, caring and professional one-to-one service for every dog. The following information is here to help everything run smoothly and ensure the best experience for both you and your dog.

🐶 Your Dog’s Comfort

Your dog’s comfort and wellbeing always come first. Every groom is carried out in a calm, one-to-one environment, allowing Helen to give your dog her full attention without the stress of a busy salon.

If at any point your dog becomes overly stressed, anxious or uncomfortable, the groom may be paused, adjusted or, if necessary, stopped. This is always done in the best interest of your dog.

📅 Appointments & Arrival Times

Please arrive on time for your appointment. As Helen works on a one-to-one basis, late arrivals can affect the rest of the day’s bookings.

If you are running late, please let Helen know as soon as possible.

  • Arrivals more than 10–15 minutes late may need to be shortened or rescheduled

  • In some cases, a late arrival may mean your appointment cannot go ahead

  • Missed appointments without notice may not be rebooked

This helps keep things fair for all customers and ensures every dog gets the time and care they need.

💷 Pricing

Prices may vary depending on your dog’s size, breed, coat condition and behaviour.

If additional time or work is required during the groom (for example, extra drying time or coat condition), this may result in an additional charge.

Helen will always aim to be fair and transparent with pricing.

🐾 Behaviour & Temperament

All dogs are welcome at Dapper Dogs Grooming. However, it is important to let Helen know in advance if your dog is nervous, reactive or has any behavioural concerns.

This allows the groom to be approached in the safest and most comfortable way possible.

If a dog shows signs of aggression or extreme stress that could put them or Helen at risk, the groom may be stopped.

🩺 Health & Medical Information

Please inform Helen of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries or sensitivities before your appointment.

This includes:

  • skin conditions

  • joint issues

  • recent surgeries

  • fleas or parasites

This ensures the grooming process can be safely adapted to your dog’s needs.

✂️ Grooming Results

Helen will always do her best to achieve your preferred style. However, your dog’s coat condition, behaviour and overall comfort will always take priority over appearance.

Every dog is different, and sometimes adjustments may be needed to ensure a safe and comfortable groom.

📞 Communication

If you have any questions before or after your appointment, feel free to get in touch. Helen is always happy to help and offer advice on grooming, coat care and maintenance between visits.
